In this prayer from our series through the phrases “of the Lord”, you’ll pray for your church to know the glory of the Lord.
Please pray aloud:
God, I have prayed your Son’s words, asking you to be glorified through us. But now God, as your servant Moses prayed—show us your glory!
Let your glory pass before us. Your glory that went before the people of Israel in a cloud. Your glory that was a consuming fire on Mt. Sinai. Your glory that filled the tabernacle like a heavy cloud. Your glory that shone around Bethlehem. Your glory that gives light to heaven.
Your glory that Isaiah saw in your temple. Your glory that filled Ezekiel with awe and terror. Your glory that Stephen saw at his death.
Show us your glory!

Oh, that my church might be blinded by the brilliance of your glory! Oh, that we might feel the weight of your glory! Your everlasting glory. Your great glory. Your consuming glory.
All so that we, with unveiled faces, see your glory and are transformed into your image with ever-increasing glory.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
