Lord, let your face shine on my church with favor. Choose us for your purposes, bless us with straight paths, prosper the work of our hands.

Full Prayer

Please pray aloud:
Lord, let your face shine on my church!

Turn your eyes from our sin, look away from our shame. As the prophet pleads, “Do not be angry beyond measure, Lord; do not remember our sins forever. Oh, look on us, we pray, for we are all your people!”

Let your face shine on us with favor that we may know your all-surpassing joy. Choose us for your purposes, bless us with straight paths, prosper the work of our hands.

Let your face shine on us with peace. Remove any division from our midst, silence the accusation of our enemies, confuse any plans the evil one may have against us.

Let your face shine on us with wisdom. Where there are questions, give us insight. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. And when we come to our limitations, give us trust.

Let your face shine on my church with your salvation. Give us baptisms upon baptisms! Grant us eternal life through the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, our Lord.

Just as your Son looked on the crowds with compassion, fix your gaze on my church. That we may do the same and seek your face, until we see you face to face, as Moses did, speaking to you as a friend.
