Lord, give strength and joy to the leaders of my church as they serve this busy Easter season. Restore to them the joy of your salvation, and uphold them with a willing spirit.

Please pray aloud:
Heavenly Father, this was a busy week for your Son—between the Palm Sunday parade and his resurrection, he also taught in the temple, celebrated the Passover, bore witness in his trial, and died on a criminal’s cross.
We rejoice in all your Son did for us this Holy Week, but celebrating and remembering these important events places a heavy demand on those who work at my church. On top of ongoing meetings and counseling sessions, there are extra services to plan, extra sermons to write, and extra activities to host. Each one of these brings a level of stress and anxiety, and require extra time and energy.
Lord, give strength and joy to the leaders of my church as they serve this busy Easter season.

Lord, give strength and joy to the leaders of my church as they serve this busy Easter season. Just as your Son grew tired when ministry was busy and withdrew to pray, help the leaders of my church make time to withdraw from the crowds and rejoice in your presence. And just as Moses was overwhelmed with the demands of leadership and entrusted others with tasks and roles, help the leaders of my church ask for help and create systems that equip others for the work of the ministry.
Whether volunteers or paid staff, God, help everyone who serves at my church this week worship as they serve. As they print bulletins, as they send out communications, as they rehearse songs, as they write sermons, as they welcome guests, may it all be done with reverence and zeal worthy of your love. Restore to them the joy of your salvation, and uphold them with a willing spirit.
