Heavenly Father, our church uses a lot of audio and visual technology in our worship services. Whether it’s audio technology like microphones and sound boards, or visual technology like projectors and cameras, each piece of equipment is a powerful tool that can be leverage for your good and your glory. But these tools can also become a distraction.
Mic cables can go bad. Bulbs can burn out. So first and foremost, God, come protect the audio visual technology in our church. Does your Word not say you will prevent pests from devouring the crops of your people? Have you not invited us to cast all our anxieties upon you? So come, God, and protect our technology.
In the same way, Lord, help us develop systems of care and maintenance for our audio and visual technology. Help us to care for what’s been entrusted to us as good stewards, Lord. Give us a heart and effort to be good faithful servants with little, that we may be faithful with much.

I pray also for the people who serve on the audio and visual teams. Help them grow in their skill and knowledge of their craft. Give them a heart of worship in their service. Help them to serve you with gladness. They serve in the background, and their work is often unheralded and unnoticed unless something is wrong. Left unchecked, this can create frustration and harden the heart. So come over them by your Holy Spirit, even now, and let them know you are pleased with their good and faithful service. Remind them that this service they provide not only supplies the needs of your people, but it multiplies into more and more praise for you, our King!
God, use our audio and visual technology to glorify your name. Use it all to lift your Son high.8 That the unbeliever may believe, that the believer may be strengthened, and that your church may grow for your name and renown!
