Please pray aloud:

Heavenly Father, in your Word we read how the people of Israel declared they would not neglect your temple. So Lord, since you care about the condition and appearance of your house, move us to care as well, Lord!

Give us attentive eyes and skillful hands to see and care for what’s been neglected on our campus. Show us what we can put in good order now so we don’t have an expensive repair later. If it’s broken, or dirty, or overgrown, forgive us, God, and move us to be good stewards of it, that your name may be honored even there.

In the same way, in your Word you promise to prevent the pests from devouring our crops, so I ask you to come and protect us, O Defender. Protect our facility from rust and decay or infestation. Protect us from storm damage and leaks and foundation cracks. That your name and your house may be honored, O God.

…since you care about the condition and appearance of your house, move us to care as well, Lord!
— Pray for Your Church

Lord, you told Moses that you had gifted Bezalel to be a master craftsman in the service of your temple. So Lord, call others to serve on our facilities teams so we can entrust them with systems of maintenance and repair. From cleaning to mowing to dusting to construction, God, give us dedicated, humble, and skillful workers. That when guests come onto our campus they know, even if we are not an opulent church, that this is a well-cared for church.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.
