Full Prayer

Please pray aloud:
Heavenly Father, give my church victory in spiritual warfare this day!

Your Word tells us we are at war, God. Not a war against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Your Church is on a mission to rescue those still perishing in the dominion of darkness, and the enemy fights back.

Forgive us for the times we think too lightly or too little of this conflict in the unseen, God. Open our eyes to see how this is a war for more than our comfort or happiness, this is a war for souls.

In the same way, forgive us for making too much of our foe and becoming afraid. We know he prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to devour us—but we also know he the devil is a defeated foe. We know you are greater than the one who is against us. We know that no weapon formed against us will prosper. We know that the gates of hell will not prevail.

Equip my church with your full armor, God, as we defend and advance your kingdom.
—Pray for Your Church

Lord of Angel Armies, come by your Spirit and your heavenly host to thwart every scheme of the devil, whether in the spiritual or in the physical realm. The battle belongs to you!

Equip my church with your full armor, God, as we defend and advance your kingdom. Move us to stand firm, not flat–footed and unprepared. Buckle us with the belt of truth. Cover our hearts with the heavy breastplate of righteousness. Strap our feet with the readiness to share your good news. Fit us with a strong shield of faith to extinguish every flaming arrow of the evil one. Protect our minds with your helmet of salvation. Arm us with the sharp sword of your Spirit, which is your Word.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.
