Part IV is the final part of a prayer using the very words Jesus prayed with his disciples in John 17.
Father in heaven, I know that we are not of this world, just as your Son was not of this world. Set my church apart by the truth. Your Word is truth!
Just as you sent your Son into the world and set him apart for your purpose, send us for your purpose, O God. I pray not only for us, but for those who have yet to believe in Jesus because of our message. Make my church one, Father, just as you are in your Son and your Son is in you. May we be ever found in you, that they world may see us and believe in your Son, Jesus.
Help us to ever live in the glory your Son gave us, that we may be one just as you are one—your Son in us and you in your Son—so that we may have complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent Jesus and have loved us, even as you love your precious Son.
Father, we long for that day when we will be with you and your Son in your kingdom and see your eternal glory. Though the world does not know you, Righteous Father, we know you and we know your Son whom you have sent. Continue to reveal yourself to us in order that your love for you Son may be in us, just as he is within us.
