Heavenly Father, I pray that everyone who comes to our church this weekend would experience Jesus. That they would leave with faith in his death and resurrection, that they would treasure his word of forgiveness spoken to them, and that they would want to follow him all the days of their lives.

Please pray aloud:
Heavenly Father, I pray that everyone who comes to our church this weekend would experience Jesus.
As they pull onto our parking lot, as they are greeted at the doors, as they walk through our hallways, I pray every person is overwhelmed by him. Even if they can’t articulate it, or understand it, awaken their souls in the presence of his greatness.
As they lift their voices in singing, as they pray, as they hear your Word read, may they know a deep and sweet interaction with your Son. Not a distorted or limited idea of Jesus, God, but a full and clear and true encounter with Jesus for who he is.
As people listen to the sermon this Sunday, may they commune with Jesus. Let the words preached bring them to consider what he has done for them more than what they can do for him.
Oh, that we would know your Son Jesus!

I pray this so that everyone who leaves would have faith in his death and resurrection and be saved. That they would treasure Christ’s word of forgiveness spoken to them. That they would want to follow him all the days of their lives.
Oh, that we would know your Son Jesus! To know him in his suffering and crucifixion, and to know the power of his resurrection. Oh, that his name would be lifted up higher and higher, above all things in our hearts and minds! Oh, that Jesus would have preeminence in every moment this Sunday at our church, Sovereign Lord.
