There is much that can steal the joy of a church, God. So would you please come and bring us joy? Until each one of us has full gladness in your presence this Sunday.

Please pray aloud:
Heavenly Father, would you please come and bring joy to my church?
There is much that can steal the joy of a church, God. Be it conflict with other members, fatigue in ministry, loneliness, frustration at a lack of progress, the constant demands of ministry, habitual sin, unmet expectations, or any of the other countless consequence of sin. But none of these should dominate your joy, Lord! So, come, Lord—
Bring joy to my church, O God.
As we work on the ministry and in the ministry, let your joy reign supreme. As your Word promises—let us know the fullness of joy. Joy in the death and resurrection of your Son. Joy in your promises. Joy in our suffering. Joy in our work. The inexpressible joy. The abiding joy. The all–surpassing joy. A joy that is evident to all and bears witness to your goodness and power. A joy that does not originate with us, but is solely a gift from you. A joy that is more than mere happiness.
Let your your joy be like a light so powerful and unyielding, it casts out all darkness. Let your joy remove all critical thoughts, negativity, fatigue, division, sorrow, and frustration. Let each one of us know full gladness in your presence this Sunday, O King!
