Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
Quick Prayer
Please pray aloud:
Heavenly Father, I come to you now praying for the teenagers in my church. Would you please move by your Spirit in this moment and communicate to their hearts how deeply they are loved—by you, by their family, and by their church? Keep them from the deceitfulness of this dark age, Father, and sanctify them by your truth.
Make this the day our youth wake up with a fire in their hearts for you!
Make this the day they hunger and thirst for your righteousness!
Make this the day they invite their lost friends to our church!
Make this the day they take ownership of their faith!
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please pray aloud:
Heavenly Father, I come to you now praying for the teenagers in my church.
Would you please move by your Spirit in this moment and communicate to their hearts how deeply they are loved—by you, by their family, and by their church?
Specifically, I lift up… [name any teenagers in your church on your mind.]
Keep them from the deceitfulness of this dark age, Father. Protect their developing hearts and minds from the evil one and the influences of the world. As your Word says, keep them “blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation” that they may “shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life.” As your Son prayed, sanctify them by your truth, that they may find their identity in you and your Word alone.
Help our youth to remember their bodies are temples of your Holy Spirit, and to honor you with their conduct. Keep them from all sexual immorality, remembering that even their bodies were bought with the precious blood of Christ. Keep them from any addictive substances or behaviors that might harm them or the trajectory of their life. Give them a joy in their purity that’s greater than the pleasure of any debauchery.
Make this the day our youth wake up with a fire in their hearts for you!

I pray also that our teens follow your command to obey and honor their parents, that they may receive your promise of a joyful and long life. In the same way, I pray that the parents do not exasperate or provoke their kids, but bring them up in both the training and the joy of your kingdom.
Finally, I pray that no one in our church looks down on our teens because they are young, but that we would all aspire to have their energy and zeal in our faith. Help us be creative in ways that we can involve our teenagers in the life of the ministry, that they may call this church their home.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
