Quick Prayer
Please pray aloud:
Heavenly Father, there are so many care requests in our church, it’s hard to address them all. So would you come by your Holy Spirit and invigorate us with power, joy, and compassion to meet every need in our church? That Jesus may be known and experienced in the way we care for the least of these, just as he promised.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please pray aloud:
Heavenly Father, there are so many care requests in our church, it’s hard to address them all. Especially when these care needs are held up to the other needs of the mission—whether reaching the lost or preaching the Gospel or serving our city.
Of course, you know this, don’t you? Your Son saw the crowds and sighed because there was no end to their needs, and yet he had compassion on them, even in his fatigue.
So would you come by your Holy Spirit and invigorate us with the same power, joy, and compassion to meet every need in our church?
Move the staff and elders who are entrusted with visitations and checkups to improve their systems and records of care, so that no one from our household of faith falls through the cracks and is missed. From the homebound to the hospitalized to the hurting, give our leaders eyes to see the need and the administration to address the need.
Lord, may Jesus be known and experienced in the way we care for the least of these.

Move the members of our small groups to do the same with the members of their groups, as they fulfill the law of Christ and bear one another’s burdens. Whether it’s making a meal, or mowing a lawn, or simply visiting with one another.
Lord, may Jesus be known and experienced in the way we care for the least of these. As he promised, we see him in those we care for, and may they see him in us as we care for them.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
