A prayer to help guests who come to your church on Christmas Eve enjoy themselves, encounter Jesus, and become a part of your church family.

Quick Prayer

Please pray aloud:
God in the highest heaven, I come to you now pleading for the guests at my church this Christmas Eve. Help them to enjoy themselves, help them experience Jesus, and help them to even become members of my church, God. Use this Christmas Eve to make it so!

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please pray aloud:
God in the highest heaven, I come to you now pleading for the guests at my church this Christmas Eve. Help them to enjoy themselves, help them experience Jesus, and help them to even become members of my church, God. Use this Christmas Eve to make it so!

I pray for our guests who have never been to a church. Calm their fears as they get ready. Cast out their doubts as they pull into our parking lot. Give them a sense of peace and belonging as they pass through our doors. As they wait for the service, let them share in the joy in the room. When the service begins, remove any confusion or anxiety over the different parts of the service. And when your Word is preached, let it accomplish the purpose for which you sent it—give them faith that your Son was born this day! Save the unsaved, God!

Let the good news of your Son’s birth bring great joy to all people at my church this year!

I also pray for our guests who haven’t been to a church in a long time. Whether their absence was because of a major falling out, or whether it was from a slow fade, use this service to revive faith within them. Give them a dissatisfaction in their life apart from you, Lord. Keep them from old feelings of anger or argumentative thoughts. Even more, give them a longing to be with you beyond the service, to abide with you every day in the year ahead.

Finally, I pray for our guests who do have a relationship with you and are choosing to worship with us. Whether they’re going to church with a family member, or maybe they’re looking for a new church, bless these guests, too. Give them a joy in the diversity of your family. Give them a deeper insight into the birth of your Son. Strengthen their faith for the year ahead.

Let the good news of your Son’s birth bring great joy to all people at my church this year!

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Some of the Scripture used in today’s prayer:
