Full Prayer
Please pray aloud:
Gracious Father, lead my church in repentance!
By your Spirit and through your Word, you have shown us our sin is utterly sinful. We’ve felt the sorrow you intended, we’ve confessed our trespasses, and you’ve forgiven us. Now, God, lead my church in repentance.
May we follow the words of our confession with actions of repentance—Turn us from our sinful ways, that we may live. Move us to pursue you first, above all things. Renew our minds according to your truth. Teach us to do right, to seek justice, to correct oppression. Lead us to bear fruit in keeping with repentance, fruit that will last!
May we follow the words of our confession with actions of repentance.

Make our repentance joyful like the prodigal son, laughing at the father’s table. Make our repentance sincere like Zacchaeus, repaying those we’ve wronged. Make our repentance lasting like Manasseh, removing the idols from among us.
Then, as we return to you, fulfill all the good promises of your Word for our repentance: Promised healing for our land. Promised times of refreshing. Promised life. Promised gladness for our mourning, and promised joy instead of sorrow. Promised desires of our hearts. Promised inheritance, peace, and prosperity. Promised care and provision. Promised security and sure steps. Promised deliverance, refuge, and salvation.
Gracious Father, lead my church in repentance!
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
