Use this prayer to help your church confess and repent of their sins so a time of refreshing from the Lord may come.
Quick Prayer
Please pray aloud: God Most High, lead my church to repentance!
We do not deserve to come into your presence, Lord. But we come because you have asked us to approach to your throne of grace, that we may receive forgiveness in our great need. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, and make us holy, that a time of refreshing in my church may come!
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please pray aloud: God Most High, lead my church to repentance!
I confess our hands have stolen and shed innocent blood. Our feet have rushed to rebellion and run from what’s right. Our lips have told lies and gossiped. Our hearts have been filled with pride and greed and the lusts of this world. We have cherished sin our hearts. We have forsaken your commands. Our wickedness justly deserves your present and eternal punishment.
I myself am not without fault, God. Shine your light into the darkness and show me—How have I sinned against you?
[Take a moment to confess to God your individual sins that he brings to mind.]
I’m sorry, God. We’re sorry. Truly you are slow to anger and abounding in love! We do not deserve to come into your presence, Lord. But we come only because you have asked us to approach to your throne of grace, that we may receive forgiveness in our great need.
For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, according to the riches of your grace.
We repent, for your kingdom is at hand! We rend our hearts, that a time of refreshing may come! Teach us to fear you as your Word desires. Help us to live as children of light. Make us holy because you are holy.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
