Full Prayer
Please pray aloud: Sovereign Lord, I come to you now in behalf of the volunteers in our music ministry. Specifically, I pray for…
Take a moment to name any volunteers on the music team you know.
Thank you for these servants who praise you with their voice, with horns and strings, with percussion and dance. More than their talent, thank you for their heart to serve you, God. Bless them for their generosity. Bless them for their devotion to you and their craft. Bless them for the unseen hours learning chord progressions and melodies and rhythms. Bless them for carving out time in their busy lives for weeknight rehearsals. Bless them, Lord!
Remind our musicians and singers they are simply ushers who escort us into your presence with music and song.

As they serve, do as your Word promises and restore to them the joy of your salvation and grant them a willing spirit to sustain them. Renew their passion for their craft, and their heart to worship you in spirit and in truth. Help them see their role in the bigger mission of the church. Remind our musicians and singers they are simply ushers who escort us into your presence with music and song.
Keep them from pride or vanity. Give them discernment to know when an embellishment will inspire the church to praise or distract us from the same. Guard the team from slander and dissension. And help them to live out your one another commands as a team—submitting, serving, honoring, and forgiving one another.
Finally, may the volunteers on the music team see the fruits of their labor this Sunday, God—That their sacrifice of praise in Christ has inspired our own. That our worship is reverent, joyful, free, and loud because of their service. That our hearts are ready to receive your Word because they went before us. All for the praise and honor of your name, God Most High!
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
