Please pray aloud: Gracious Lord, I come to you now praying for the volunteers in the kids ministry at my church.
Fill these volunteers with a very real strength and joy for their service, God. Bless them for learning curriculum before Sunday morning, for waking up a little earlier on their weekend, or for kneeling down to welcome a child with a smile. Bless them for taking the time to learn a child’s name, for gluing crafts with little fingers, or for singing silly songs kids love. Bless them for teaching your precious Word to kids, for showing them how to pray, or for showing them Jesus. Bless them, indeed, God!
If your Son rebuked those who hindered the little ones from coming to him, would he not bless those who encourage them to come? If your Son cursed those who would lead the little ones astray, would he not praise those who guided them to the truth? Finally, God, how can the rest of my church support these volunteers? If there are resources we can dedicate to them, show us. If there are volunteers who should or could serve, show us. If there is better training or curriculum we can give them, show us. Open our hands, open our schedules, open our hearts, Lord! Let there never be lack in our Kids Ministry, God.
