Use this prayer for church security to protect the worshipers who gather at your church from any plans or actions of attackers.
Quick Prayer
Please pray aloud: God, I come to you now praying for the safety and security of my church. This is a hard topic, God, and a sign of the times, but your Church is under attack. Help us create plans of action to prevent any threats. Help us create wise plans of action to respond to any threats and neutralize any harm. Like you guarded the gates of Eden, send your holy angels to surround my church and guard our doors with flaming swords, that no force of evil may pass.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Full Prayer
Please pray aloud: God, I come to you now praying for the safety and security of my church.
This is a hard topic, God, and a sign of the times, but your Church is under attack. Across the globe and here in my country there are martyrs of the faith who have been harmed and killed because attackers entered one of your churches and took the life of innocent worshipers.
Protect my church from all attacks, O Lord our Rock, our Fortress, and our Deliverer!
I join with the Psalmist and plead—may all who want to take our life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire our ruin be turned back in disgrace. May those who seek our life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot our ruin be turned back in dismay.
I join with your Son and plea—my prayer is not that you take us out of the world but that you protect us from the evil one. Just as the world hated your Son, we know we will be hated because of him. But greater are you than the one who is against us.
This is a hard topic, Lord, and a sign of the times, but your Church is under attack.

Help us create plans of action to prevent any threats, or to respond to any threats in a way that neutralizes any harm. Help us to act in faith, and to recognize when we are acting in fear. Does not your Word promise that not a single hair on our head will be harmed, O Lord?
Just as we prepare, O God, arise! May your enemies be scattered, may your foes flee before you. Protect us from any and all theft, harm, and destruction. Like you guarded the gates of Eden, send your holy angels to surround my church and guard our doors with flaming swords, that no force of evil may pass.
Finally, we pray for our enemies and those who would persecute us, as you command. Give them the gift of faith, that they confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in their hearts that he is risen from the dead. Turn them from their wicked and destructive ways, Lord, that they may be saved.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
