Use this prayer from our four-part “Each One Reach One” series to help your church invite others to experience Jesus.
Quick Prayer
Please pray aloud: Gracious God, move each person in my church to invite someone to church!
Remind us that we’re not debating others, there are other times for that. And we’re not trying to find ways to serve others, there are times for that, too. Remind us that we are only beggars telling other beggars where to find bread.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please pray aloud: Gracious God, move each person in my church to invite someone to church!
Over the course of this day, bring to every mind someone they personally know who is disconnected from your Church or doesn’t have faith in you. And then, God, give each person in my church the courage to simply invite them.
Who are we to quench your Spirit? Who are we to steal your glory or hide your light? Open our lips, God, and we will declare your praises!
If any of us are nervous, make us calm. If we’re aggressive, make us unassuming. If any of us are ashamed, make us shameless! Remind us that we’re not debating others, there are other times for that. And we’re not trying to find ways to serve others, there are times for that, too. We’re simply inviting others, like Philip inviting Nathaniel to “Come and see.” Remind us that we are only beggars telling other beggars where to find bread.
Remind us that we are only beggars telling other beggars where to find bread.

This isn’t about making our church bigger, God. This is about you. After all, Lord, if any come to faith, it’s because they interact with you. It’s your Word that reaches their ears. It’s your Spirit that fills their heart. It’s your hand that draws them. So use us to make that introduction, God. Use us to escort others into your life–changing presence.
You’ve given us your heart to reach the lost, you’ve given us your mission to reach the lost, now move us to invite the lost. Please, Father!
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
