52 Prayers for Your Church
Every prayer for your church matters.
But over the last couple of years of writing prayers for this website, I’ve noticed certain prayers felt more consequential than others. Prayers for a Christ–centered church or prayers against spiritual warfare felt weightier than a prayer for the busyness of the Christmas season or prayers for for the altar team. Every prayer matters, but some prayers are pillars of a healthy ministry, some prayers are like a loveseat in the living room.
Instead of limiting a post about these essential prayers to a website, I realized God’s Church at–large could benefit from a book of these prayers. So, in 2025, I went through the painful work of identifying 52 prayers from the website that could be compiled into a book for you and your church to use.
I’m excited to announce that 52 Prayers for Your Church is published and available on Amazon.
How to Use the Book
Each prayer in the book is compiled into one of four sections: Prayers for Teams, Prayers for Your Pastor, Prayers for Spiritual Warfare, and General Prayers.
52 prayers implies, of course, that you’d pray one of these prayers weekly. But you could pray them daily for seven weeks, or in a few days. I would not, however, pray through these prayers in a few sittings. Prayer isn’t something to get through quickly. Like any conversation, prayer is better when it’s not rushed. The prayers in 52 Prayers for Your Church aren’t meant to be the entire conversation, they’re conversation starters between you and your heavenly Father.
At the risk of being overly promotional, I’ve kept the book affordable so you can purchase multiple copies. My hope is that Bible Studies will work this book together, or a Board of Elders, or a Small Group.
What Happens Next
The God who can do far more than we ask or imagine is poised and ready to move by your prayers. The best days of your church are waiting for your prayers. And my hope is the 52 Prayers for Your Church will help you pray like it.
